Weekend retreat produces Mystery Quilts

Rivers' Edge Quilters held their March 2 meeting with 21 members present. The Mystery Quilt weekend was enjoyed by eight members participating and other members sewing on UFOs.

Rivers' Edge Quilters held their March 2 meeting with 21 members present.

The Mystery Quilt weekend was enjoyed by eight members participating and other members sewing on UFOs.

Irene Greer, facilitator, reported it was a successful project with a few members completing their quilt tops.

Memberswere informed of the quilt show dates for Maidstone, April 14 and 15, and Regina, May 11 and 12.

Marilyn Wallace taught paper piecing March 8. March 15, the club will be sewing pillows for the homeless. If you can assist, please join the members for the morning session. People are needed to cut, sew or stuff the pillows.

March 22, Joyce Vany will be teaching a honeycomb/trellis pattern for a table runner or lap quilt.March 23, Debbie Burwash from Corner House Quilts in Macklin will be teaching a starlet pattern table runner using a special, handy dandy "Cutting Corners" ruler.There are many exciting projects for all members to enjoy this month.

An interesting show and share of talents was enjoyed.

The next meeting will be on March 30 at 1 p.m.
