Some further amendments to the City of North Battleford's traffic bylaw were passed at council Monday.

The amendments were in response to some concerns raised by registered driver training schools as well as SGI with respect to the routes for that driver training.

SGI requires testing routes with certain numbers of right hand and left hand turns, as well as turns at lights. As well, certain areas were identified where trucks should not travel when training or testing.

A meeting was held Sept. 19 that included the heavy truck driving schools, SGI and City officials to discuss concerns and make changes. Out of that, City administration decided to make changes to the traffic bylaw to allow registered heavy vehicle training schools to exit the heavy vehicle route with trucks when providing the service of training and or testing the operation of heavy vehicles. .
