There has been another drug bust, this time on Sweetgrass First Nation.
RCMP have arrested and charged 44-year-old Joe Paskimin and 28-year-old Vicky Morin. Both are from Sweetgrass First Nation.
Each are charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking andpossession of proceeds of crime.Theywere in provincial court March 14 and werereleased, with their next appearance scheduled for April 15 at 10 a.m. in North Battleford.
March 13, Battlefords Provincial GIS, with assistance from Battleford Municipal GIS, Battleford Rural Detachment and the Battlefords Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a residence on the first nation, according to a press release.
Police say investigators seized approximately one-half kilogram of marijuana, about $2,500 in cash and other itemsconsistent with drug trafficking.
