Town hall in Battleford now has its own code of conduct investigation to deal with, after two such similar investigations were authorized in North Battleford.

BATTLEFORD - The Town of Battleford has now authorized an investigation after an ethics complaint has been filed.

At their council meeting Tuesday night, the town's CAO Ash Alam reported that a complaint has arisen about code of conduct and ethics, and that it is being investigated by an investigation team.

The code of conduct ethics complaint was filed on Feb. 7 and the investigation will follow Battleford council’s Code of Conduct and Ethics bylaw.

Council voted in favor of proceeding with the investigation, which will now proceed. It was not made public what the complaint was about.

This is the third municipal ethics complaint to be investigated in the Battlefords since December. Already, council in North Battleford has twice authorized investigations following complaints filed under their own Code of Ethics bylaw, with those investigations to be conducted by Angela Kruk of Regina. Like the Battleford complaint, the nature of the complaint was not made public.
