BATTLEFORDS – When officers from Battlefords RCMP Gang Task Force noticed a wanted man walking in North Battleford on Dec. 13 and tried to arrest him, he fled on foot. Officers caught up to the suspect, who pulled out a concealed firearm and then fled. He dropped the firearm while fleeing, which officers seized.

Two days later, police saw him walking in North Battleford and go into a nearby home on 105th Street. Officers arrested 24-year-old Conner Dreaver from North Battleford, with assistance from the Saskatchewan RCMP Critical Incident Response Team.

Police found ammunition on him when they arrested him.

Dreaver was charged with two counts each of resisting a peace officer and possession of weapons contrary to a court order. He was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a firearm in a carless manner, and unlicensed possession of a prohibited device.

He was also arrested for breaching a conditional sentence order.

Dreaver appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Dec. 18.

Another man and a female youth, who initially provided a false name to police, were also arrested.
