A lunch-break pastime dished up a $10,000 windfall for Stacey Charles when she won $10,000 on a Cool Cash lottery ticket.
She was on her way for lunch when she noticed a sign advertising lottery tickets at Leask Cafeteria located on Main Street. She decided to purchase a pack, which contain 10 scratch 'n win tickets, and scratched the tickets while having her lunch.
"When I scratched the Cool Cash ticket I got really excited and started to panic!" she recalled. She left her lunch to have the ticket checked.
"I misread the ticket, thinking I won $100,000, but I was super excited when it was still a $10,000 win. I never believed I'd win. I was screaming all the way home!"
The winner said she will be putting her windfall in the bank.
