Law enforcement issued more than 750 tickets last week as part of a two-day traffic safety blitz targeting aggressive driving in the province, according to an SGI press release.
Among the tickets issued were 378 for speeding violations, 71 for seatbelt violations, 31 tickets for failing to stop at stop sign/red light, 23 distracted driving violations (cellphone use, driving without due care and attention), six alcohol-related charges and 247 various other charges.
September's traffic safety blitz, Operation Student Safety, focused on school zone safety and resulted in a total of 835 tickets.
