Year-to-year building permits went down in April 2012 in North Battleford, according to the latest numbers.

Building permit numbers submitted by Jerry Wintonyk, building inspector for the City, indicate 14 building permits were issued for $1,311,900, down from 18 issued for $2,818,500 in April 2011.

For the year to date, actual building permit numbers are up to 36, compared to 30 for the same period in 2011. But permit values are way down from $34,701,500 to $12,132,300.

Also issued in April were two garage/carport permits for $16,000, one commercial alteration permit for $5,000 (compared to one issued for $577,500 in April 2011), and one industrial alteration for $55,000.
