Building plan for new car wash

A new car wash is coming to North Battleford based on a building plan presented at city council August 22.

A new car wash is coming to North Battleford based on a building plan presented at city council August 22.

According to the plan, outlined to council by city building inspector Jerry Wintonyk, it will be for a commercial building at 521 Pioneer Avenue, just off of Territorial Dr. in the city's southeast.

The building will contain a barn-style car wash for cars and trucks. Customers will be able to pull into stalls and use wands to wash the cars directly. There will also be a large truck wash bay, Wintonyk said.

A special feature planned for the business will be a dog wash for pet owners.

The owner of the business is the numbered company 101131902 Saskatchewan Ltd., who Wintonyk describes as a local developer.

The business will be located in the C-3 highway commercial zone. The building is to be 10,000 square feet and the value is $2,500,000. 25 parking stalls will be required by bylaw and approved on plan.

The car/truck wash is phase 1 of the development. A commercial retail unit is to be added as phase II, Wintonyk told council Monday.
