A motion to increase the bylaw enforcement annual contract from $50,400 to $52,179 was tabled after Coun. Joyce Watts questioned the increase.
“I’m not sure what rationale is used for that, because I’m concerned that if you’re going to give a 3.5 per cent wage increase, does that include a 3.5 per cent wage increase to out-of-scope people going down the line?” she said at the Jan. 9 council meeting.
