The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a federal election all-candidates forum next Wednesday in North Battleford.

The all-candidates forum for Battlefords-Lloydminster is to be held April 27 from 7 to 9 pm at Wesley Hall in Third Avenue United Church. The event is open to everyone.

Battlefords Chamber executive director Linda Machniak told the News-Optimist that all four candidates have been invited - Liberal Jordan LaPlante, New Democrat Glenn Tait, the Green Party's Norbert Kratchmer and incumbent Conservative MP Gerry Ritz. It is not known if all will be able to attend, although Machniak did say Ritz has confirmed he will be there.

The Wednesday forum will follow on the heels of a scheduled Tuesday night forum in Lloydminster.

As has been customary in the past, the questions to be posed to the candidates at the event will cover a wide range of topics and will include several submitted by the Chamber. Seven questions will be selected from Chambers of Commerce provincial or national policy platforms, or from local members. Chamber members have until April 21 to submit a question to candidates.
