Battlefords and District Co-op General Manager Pat Smith announced earlier this week that he has accepted a new position in the co-operative retailing system as an associate vice-president in the Winnipeg region.
Smith, general manager of the Battlefords Co-op since 2006, began his co-op employment in 1977 as a clerk at North of 53 Co-op in Flin Flon, Man. Over the course of his career he has assumed various manager positions and successfully completed General Manager One-to-One Training.
In a press release the co-op states the organizaiton will continue on with the long range plans, including construction on the new gas bar near Walmart. as well as the other major projects in the works.
