Combining music and charity, Gord Slater and friends have organized the first annual Jacket Drive and Jam Session at the Beaver Hotel Nov. 27 from 2 to 9 p.m.
As winter fast approaches, the need for warm winter clothing is becoming clearer and clearer.
The fundraiser will collect warm clothing for those who cannot afford it, for one reason or another. All afternoon, Gord Slater and Friends will jam at the Beaver Hotel, to collect unwanted jackets, coats, gloves, mitts, toques and scarves. Anyone interested in dropping off old winter clothing can do so at the Beaver Hotel, at the food bank or can contact Gord at 480-0507 for pick ups.
