Two individuals charged during the recent crime wave in North Battleford had their cases adjourned Thursday in North Battleford Provincial Court.
Valen Nicotine, charged with aggravated assault and firearms offences in connection to a Sept. 1 shooting incident in the city, returns to court Nov. 5.
His co-accused, Justin Fineday, is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Oct. 21. Both Nicotine and Fineday had just acquired new lawyers to assist them in their defences. A youth also faces charges in the case, which was one of two reported shooting incidents in the city during September.
Marty Moccasin, charged in connection to an incident Oct. 8 on the 900 block of 110th Street, is due back in court Thursday, Oct. 24 by closed-circuit TV.
Moccasin faces two counts each of pointing a firearm or imitation, unauthorized possession of a firearm, use of a firearm or imitation and uttering threats.
He was one of four individuals arrested in the incident. A second individual, age 19, was charged last week with failure to comply with probation, and obstruction and is due to make his first court appearance in North Battleford on Dec. 16.
