This was the scene Sunday afternoon on 102nd Street as crews looked over the damage following a two-vehicle collision that resulted in one vehicle being completely flipped-over. The damage resulted in 102nd Street being closed off for a portion of the afternoon as crews worked to clear the area of glass from the wrecked vehicles.

Emergency crews responded Sunday afternoon to what appeared to be a serious car crash around the 1600 block of 102nd Street.

Two vehicles were involved and badly damaged in the collision, which happened around 4 p.m. One vehicle, a mid-sized van, flipped over onto its roof and saw its back windows smashed out. The other vehicle, a passenger car, saw its front badly damaged.

WPD Ambulance, the RCMP and North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services were on the scene. In spite of the damage, according to NBFES there were no injuries as the occupants were out of the vehicle by the time they arrived.

One of the people who witnessed the scene was City Councillor Trent Houk, who told council's municipal services committee meeting Monday night the incident took place right in front of his yard.

Houk praised the emergency and fire crews for responding to the scene as quickly as they did, literally seconds after the collision took place.

"I think it was 45 seconds, and the fire truck was there," Houk said.
