SASKATOON — August was a historic month for Rylan Wiens as he dove his way to an Olympic bronze medal in Paris and earned Sask Sport Athlete of the Month honours.
Wiens, joined by diving partner Nathan Zsombor-Murray, made Canadian history after claiming the country’s first Olympic medal in the men’s 10-metre synchronized event after diving to 422.13 points.
In addition to his synchronized performance, Wiens also finished seventh in the men’s 10M individual event.
