EAST CENTRAL — The province’s fire weather index has most of the province below the Saskatchewan River ranked extreme. Many local municipalities have declared fire bans.
Bans been declared in the RM of Torch River, RM of Kinistino, RM of Willow Creek, RM of Flett's Springs, RM of Star City, RM of Bjorkdale, RM of Porcupine, RM of Hoodoo, RM of Pleasantdale, RM of Bayne, RM of St. Peter, RM of Colonsay, Smeaton, Melfort, Cudworth and Meacham.
There is no active provincial fire ban.
