BATTLEFORD - The planned Town of Battleford Food Truck Festival this summer is already filling up fast.
The town’s Community Planner Paige Hundt provided the latest update at their regular council meeting Tuesday. She reported they had sold out over 50 trade show tables in less than two weeks.
Hundt told council the reaction from residents so far has been very good, “so I’m super excited,” she said.
There are only a few food truck spots left and they are always looking for volunteers and for entertainment. If there are any local performers looking to perform at the festival they can contact Paige at the town at 306-937-6200. There is also a form available at the town website at www.battleford.ca, and all new Trade Show registrations will be added to the wait list.
The plan is to focus the entire trade show at Battleford Arena only. The indication is that venue will have enough space for what they need. There will be an eating area inside the arena, and food trucks located outside.
The festival will run Friday to Sunday, Aug. 26 to 28, 2022. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
