Fourteen vehicles allegedly damaged by bat-swinging suspect

SASKATOON - A woman is facing numerous mischief charges after a number of car windows were broken early Monday morning in Saskatoon.

On Nov. 11 at approximately 2 a.m., police were called to the 100 block of Pichler Crescent for a report of a person using a bat to break the windows of vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers located a woman matching the description of the suspect; she was arrested without further incident. After searching her, officers located a knife; a baseball bat was also located at the scene.

After further investigation, officers learned 14 vehicles had been damaged, and it is believed the baseball bat was swung at another person.

As a result, the 42-year-old woman is facing charges relating to mischief under $5,000 (x14), possession of a weapon, concealing a weapon, and assault with a weapon.
