SASKATOON - A man was arrested following an alleged assault in Saskatoon.
At around 8 p.m. on Nov. 6, police were called to a home in the 500 block of Avenue X South for a weapons-related call. Upon arrival, officers learned that a domestic dispute had occurred within the residence, resulting in a man striking a woman with a hammer and discharging bear spray in her direction before fleeing the home.
The man was located by police a short distance away and was arrested without incident.
As a result, the 26-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon.
