Update: All quiet on 110th Street North Battleford

NORTH BATTLEFORD — Update 4:14 p.m.: RCMP say this incident has now concluded and 110th Street is now re-opened to traffic.

The investigation is still active and there is no risk to public safety. Further information will be provided when available.

Update 4 p.m.:  At the scene of an incident RCMP had advised the public to stay away from, the roads are now clear and the barricades set aside. There is no word yet on the outcome of the incident.

Update 2:20 p.m.: There has been no update from RCMP yet on a situation on 110th Street requiring an increased police presence. Officers have been observed in front of a residence on that street.

Original release 9:58 a.m.: Battlefords RCMP are saying there is an increased police presence on 110th Street in North Battleford in relation to an ongoing investigation.

The 1000 block of 110th Street is currently closed to traffic. People are asked to avoid the areas where police are present and to follow any police direction provided.

An update will be provided as soon as RCMP are able.
