LA RONGE – A 56-year-old Hatchet Lake man charged in connection to his son’s death has been released on bail.
Donald Mercredi Sr was arrested and charged with manslaughter after police were called to a home on Hatchet Lake First Nation for a report of an altercation on Nov. 16.
When police arrived, they found 28-year-old Donald Mercredi Jr injured and he was declared deceased at the scene.
Donald Mercredi Sr is back in La Ronge Provincial Court on Jan. 25, 2023, to enter an election.
