Man facing charges following assault in Saskatoon

Officers were able to obtain a suspect description and, shortly after, managed to find and arrest the suspect.

SASKATOON - A man is facing charges following an assault in Saskatoon.

On Sept. 10 at approximately 12:20 a.m., police were called to the 900 block of 22nd Street West for a report of an injured person.

Upon arrival, officers located a 47-year-old man on the ground suffering from what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The man was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital.

Officers were able to obtain video footage of the incident containing actions consistent with an assault. Police were then able to obtain a suspect description and, shortly after, managed to find and arrest the suspect without incident.

As a result, a 19-year-old man from Saskatoon is facing charges relating to assault causing bodily harm.
