Man facing charges following report of a knife attack in Saskatoon

The victim was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital.

​SASKATOON - A man is facing charges following a report of a knife attack in Saskatoon.

A Saskatoon man was arrested Friday night in relation to the weapons complaint.

On Aug. 23 at approximately 9:40 p.m. police were called to the intersection of Clarence Avenue South and Brand Road. It was reported that the caller had been attacked by a man with a small knife. 

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived; however, officers spoke with the 40-year-old victim who helped with a suspect description. The victim was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after, other officers located the male suspect and arrested him. As a result, a 44-year-old man is facing charges relating to assault with a weapon.
