Man taken to hospital following report of assault by teenagers

SASKATOON - Two youths are facing charges following an aggravated assault in Saskatoon.

On Sept. 13 at about 10:10 p.m. police were called to the corner of Avenue Q South and 19th Street West for a report of an assault in progress. Initial call information stated a group of teenagers were attacking someone.

Upon arrival, officers located a 54-year-old man suffering from what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The man was transported to hospital for further treatment.

Upon further investigation, officers attended to a home in the 400 block of Avenue Q South where it was believed the suspects had entered. As a result, a 15-year-old male youth and a 14-year-old female youth were arrested.

The 15-year-old male youth is facing charges relating to aggravated assault, and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions. The 14-year-old youth is facing charges relating to breaching court-ordered conditions.
