There have been a couple of incidents this past weekend at Moosomin First Nation north of the city.

One was a major grass fire on the reserve Saturday evening.

It was described by North Battleford Fire as a "large grass and brush fire" that took place around 5 p.m. The department responded with a pumper, tanker and brush truck, and sent five firefighters to the scene.

The village of Meota was also on scene with three firefighters. Also on the scene was the RCMP.

The estimated time crews spent fighting the blaze was three hours. No injuries were reported.

North Battleford Fire Department also responded to a motor vehicle accident on the weekend.

The single vehicle rollover happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, again, at Moosomin reserve.

Three people were injured and STARS Air Ambulance attended the scene to transport one person to hospital. Fire, EMS and RCMP were all on the scene.
