A heartbroken mother sits with searchers as they get ready for another long day of searching. Leona Noble, mother of Katelyn Noble, makes another trip to Radisson to look for clues in the disappearance of her daughter.

Katelyn, who was from Mission, B.C., was last seen on Aug. 27, 2007 at a farm just west of Radisson, where she was living with her boyfriend. The couple had a fight and Katelyn left the farm without taking any personal belongings with her, police have said. RCMP have said they believe Katelyn was killed, however, her remains have never been found and no arrests have been made to date.

"At this point, we (RCMP) believe she's a victim of homicide. They believed that since day one, and they've investigated that in that manner ever since she was reported missing way back in 2007," said Cpl. Rob King, an RCMP spokesman.

Police believe Katelyn's remains may have been dumped north of Radisson in the Mayfair area. Katelyn's mom Leona and volunteers were out searching various area's Sept. 7, 8 and 9, but no new clues were found.

The RCMP is still asking the public's assistance.

"If anyone sees anything that's unusual on farmland or something like that - even five years later, things can sometimes work their way to the surface potentially."

Please contact the RCMP if you have any information.

Carol Deagnon was the case worker for Child Find Saskatchewan when Katelyn went missing. Katelyn was registered August 2007. Deagnon met with Leona in Radisson, they have been in touch since Katelyn's disappearance.

Child Find now has a program called Alert Youth Program. With children missing and children committing suicide this program could be very helpful. In 2012, Child Find Saskatchewan began operations on its new program aimed at youth - the Alert Youth program. Geared toward youth between the ages of nine and 18, the program is both community and cultural-specific - it is a flexible program which will adapt to offer material most suited to the community in which it is being presented. The Alert Youth Program will offer guidance through some of the most difficult influences in teenaged life, including substance abuse, gangs, teen pregnancy, depression and anxiety, suicide, bullying, internet luring, eating disorders and relationships.

Child Find Saskatchewan will be partnering with high schools throughout the province to provide youth and parents with multiple supports and life skills, including increased self-esteem, improved communications skills, confidence through knowledge, action plans, coping guidance and a resource guide.

In addition to these supports, the Alert Youth Program will also utilize a booklet to give to youth participants for keeping valuable identifying information. This information will be useful when provided to law enforcement should the owner of the booklet go missing. The booklet will be meant for safekeeping and constant updating, and will contain information such as physical description, birth date, friends, partners, groups and affiliations, social media and email account info. ID card number info, such as driver's license, social insurance, health card, passport, employment, other unique personal information which could be vital to their location.

Throughout 2012, Child Find Saskatchewan made personal contact with multiple organizations, either in personal meetings or informational presentations. These organizations included three Prince Albert Schools, two Regina Schools, three Saskatoon Schools, Saskatoon City Police and Moose Jaw City Police. If you have any questions about this program please contact Child Find Saskatchewan 1-800-513-3463 or mail to [email protected] or 1-306-955-0070.

One of the performers we are doing a tribute to is Rita McNeil, the beloved Cape Breton singer who diedin April. She was be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during Country Music Week. MacNeil, known for songs such as Working Man and Flying on Your Own, entertained audiences for more than 30 years and was the best-selling Canadian country artist of 1990 with the release of the album Rita. Her reputation was bolstered with her CBC-TV variety series Rita and Friends, which ran from 1994 to 1997. MacNeil earned three Juno Awards and won Fans' Choice twice at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards. Born in Big Pond, N.S., she was called Cape Breton's first lady of song.

Performing Rita McNeil will be Shelly Bloom from Turtleford. Born and raised at Maymont. Bloom is a mother of six and grandmother of five, she loves horses and Jon Sloan says she's the best cook in the world. Bloom is a prolific community/church volunteer, she is a nurse at Turtleford long term care. She is multi-talented, known for her generous hospitality and warm smile. I'm sure anyone who loves Rita's songs will enjoy Bloom.
