Motorcycle accident on 100th

Emergency personnel were busy in the Battlefords area responding to two separate motor vehicle accidents this week, resulting in one serious and two minor injuries.

The first incident took place at the intersection of 11th Avenue and 100th Street in North Battleford, which was closed to traffic following a scary motorcycle collision Tuesday around 10 a.m.

WPD Ambulance described it as a single-motorcycle collision, or fall, at the intersection Tuesday. The victim, a 38-year-old male driving the motorcycle at the time, was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital. While there were fears the victim might have been seriously hurt, WPD reports the victim suffered only minor injuries.

Traffic detours were set up following the incident to allow police to be able to investigate. RCMP say the incident is still under investigation.

Another accident took place Wednesday around noon just to the north of the Battlefords. According to WPD Ambulance, a two-vehicle collision about 8 kilometres west of Prince, The collision happened on a grid road off Highway 26 and resulted in two patients sent to hospital.

According to WPD, one suffered minor injuries while the other was reported in serious condition at Battlefords Union Hospital.
