A North Battleford man faces child pornography charges after a search warrant was executed at a residence Tuesday.
Charged is Brian J. Simon, age 50. His first date in provincial court is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 21.
Simon is charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
Executing the search were members of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit along with North Battleford RCMP.
According to the RCMP, the search warrant was granted after investigators were able to download numerous child pornography files from a computer in the residence.
Saskatchewan ICE is made up of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service and Prince Albert Police Service, whose mandate is to investigate crimes involving abuse or exploitation of children on the Internet.
