The first Canadian equine myofascial release 1 seminar was hosted in North Battleford April 9 and 10. The course instructor, Cathy Covell, PT came from the United States to teach the two-day seminar. Theresa Somers, RMT of Oakway Massage and Myofascial Release Therapy Clinic assisted. The seminar was sold out and participants came from as far away as Toronto to attend, others from southern Saskatchewan, Saskatoon and area, as well as from the Battlefords and area.
It was a great weekend for both the horses and the participants as everyone benefited from this great learning experience. Thank you to the facility owners, to all the participants, horse handlers and to the people who brought their horses for treatments. The seminar could not have happened without their commitment to attend. Participants are looking forward to attending the equine MFR 2 seminar in the future.
