P.A. Police raid home, seize sawed-off rifle, stolen cheques

A 28-year-old man was charged with weapons offences and possession of property obtained by crime

Prince Albert Police seized a sawed-off rifle after raiding a home Wednesday.

PRINCE ALBERT – Prince Albert Police’s Crime Reduction Team raided a home on Kemp Crescent Wednesday and arrested a 28-year-old man and seized a sawed-off rifle, ammunition, stolen cheques, identification and other documents.

Branden Wenzel was charged with including possession of a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of stolen property, and breach of court-ordered conditions.

Wenzel made his first appearance in Prince Albert court Thursday morning.
