EAST CENTRAL — There’s an extreme risk of fire today, May 13, in our region, according to the provincial government’s fire weather index. There is no provincial fire ban, but there are municipal fire bans in the RM of St.

EAST CENTRAL — There’s an extreme risk of fire today, May 13, in our region, according to the provincial government’s fire weather index.

There is no provincial fire ban, but there are municipal fire bans in the RM of St. Peter, RM of Bayne, RM of Prairie Rose, RM of Usborne, RM of Morris, RM of Colonsay, RM of Hoodoo, RM of Torch River, Cudworth and Meacham.

Environment Canada is predicting a 30 per cent chance of rain in Humboldt, Tisdale, Melfort and Nipawin on May 13. On May 14, it is predicting a 30 per cent chance of rain in Humboldt and a 60 per cent chance of rain in Tisdale, Melfort and Nipawin.
