NORTH BATTLEFORDThe City of North Battleford has announced it has obtained a number of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for self-monitoring purposes, to be distributed to city residents.

The kits are now available and are being distributed at City Hall as of Thursday, Oct. 28, while supplies last.

According to City Hall, the tests will be distributed to residents of North Battleford, on a per household basis. They consist of five rapid antigen tests, and a household can receive only one kit in a 72-hour period. Individuals must leave their name and address before receiving a test kit.

The rapid test kits are for self-monitoring purposes only. They do not meet th requirement of organizations requesting proof of negative testing. For formal documented testing contact the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Those living outside the City of North Battleford should contact their local government or First Nation regarding obtaining tests for self-monitoring purposes.

City Hall is one of the locations in the city where the rapid testing kits are available. The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce is also distributing the kits to the public in a drive thru on Mondays and Thursdays between 1 and 4 p.m. each day.

City Hall is open between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 1291 - 101st St. E. The City will also update residents on Facebook and Twitter feeds if the supply runs out.
