The Battlefords RCMP officer accused of impaired driving will see his case go to trial next spring.

Tyson Drabinasty entered not guilty pleas to impaired driving and driving over .08 in connection to an incident July 3 where a vehicle hit a pedestrian. Drabinasty was not on duty at the time of the incident.

Lawyer Ron Piche entered the "not guilty" pleas on Drabinasty's behalf in North Battleford provincial court Monday morning before Judge David Kaiser. Drabinasty was not present in court at the time.

The case will be proceeding to trial and will be heard May 14 and 15 in provincial court. A visiting judge will be preside.
