HUMBOLDT — Six part-time associates, two full-time associates and one full-time store manager are expected to be employed by Red Apple to run the Humboldt location
Jill Jennings, with Red Apple, said while they were happy to hear about the BHP Jansen potash project, their move to the community was not due to the mine.
“In the communities we operate our customers often come to visit us two to three times per week to get their essentials as well the many unique items we carry,” Jennings said. “One of our other core values is meeting everyday needs and more, and we like to say that we meet our customers' everyday needs as well as excite them with unexpected finds.”
The company has two annual fundraising initiatives, which Jennings said they will be running in Humboldt which are the “together we care” food drive and toy drive.
In Humboldt, the store will be located at the Geschӓft Centre on 1715 8th Avenue, and is set to open April 2 with a grand opening at 9 a.m. that will begin with a ribbon-cutting.
Red Apple Stores said that the first 100 customers at the Humboldt location will receive a free $10 shopping card, a laundry basket, and all customers will receive a limited-edition shopping tote, while quantities last. A draw will also be held for a shopping spree valued at $1,000.
