Road repairs happening this fall in North Battleford

UPAR work is happening in North Battleford this fall.

NORTH BATTLEFORD - The City of North Battleford has announced its fall UPAR projects.

The following road repairs will be occurring through the City’s Underground Pipeline and Asphalt Replacement Program (UPAR) in the fall season:

Henderson Drive (Buhler Avenue to Maher Drive)

In progress – Projected completion Sept. 3

Henderson Drive is undergoing asphalt replacement and is closed to motor vehicles. This includes the Buhler Avenue intersection. The project is on schedule and the road is expected to be re-opened on Sept. 4.

The sidewalks are open to pedestrian traffic.

Battleford Road Rehabilitation (South Railway Avenue to Highway 40)

Sept. 1 - 29

Battleford Road will be undergoing rehabilitation for most of the month of September. This work includes the South Railway Avenue intersection. There will be impacts to traffic and people should seek alternate routes when possible. We anticipate that the work will be completed on Sept. 30.

Service Road along Railway Avenue East (Werb Street to A&W access)

Sept. 10 - 29

The city will be undertaking repairs starting Sept. 10. The Werb Street intersection will not be affected. There will be impacts to traffic and people should seek alternate routes when possible.

20th Avenue Pressure-Sustaining Valve Replacement (101st, 102nd and 103rd Street intersections)

Sept. 30 – Oct. 22

Between Sept. 30 and Oct. 22, K & S Asphalt crews will be replacing the pressure-sustaining valves beneath the 101st, 102nd and 103rd Street intersections. Traffic accommodation plans for this work will be forthcoming in the following weeks.
