Saskatoon man spits in police constable's face during arrest

Police were called to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress in the 1300 block of Avenue B North.

SASKATOON - A man was reported to have spat in a police constable's face during an arrest in Saskatoon. 

Saskatoon Police arrested the man after responding to a domestic disturbance on July 11.

At around 10 p.m., police were called to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress in the 1300 block of Avenue B North.

When they arrived, officers began identifying those in the home to remove anyone who did not reside there.

All occupants were compliant with the officers, except for one man who would not provide his name.

After investigating, police successfully identified the man and found him to be wanted on a warrant for break and enter to commit mischief. When police arrested him on the warrant, the man spat in the face of a constable.

The 18-year-old Saskatoon man was also charged with assaulting a police officer and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
