REGINA — Saskatchewan Health Authority has provided an update on the status of patients from the incident Sunday at James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon.
The SHA has confirmed it has admitted 17 individuals to hospitals within the province in relation to Sunday’s events. As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, SHA says 10 patients remain in hospital. Three are in critical condition, seven are stable and, since Sunday, seven have been discharged.
Hospitals where the patients are receiving care are not being disclosed.
SHA states it is working on deployment of mental health resources to families, communities, physicians and staff impacted.
