Two individuals accused in a Sept. 1 shooting incident in North Battleford will see their case back to court in the coming days.

Both Valen Nicotine and Justin Fineday appeared by closed-circuit TV in North Battleford Provincial Court Wednesday before Judge David Kaiser.

Nicotine's matters were adjourned to Thursday morning, for a show cause hearing, while Fineday returns to court Monday. Both appearances will again be made from cells in Saskatoon by closed circuit TV.

A third youth accused was also charged in connection to the incident that took place on St. Laurent and Diefenbaker Drives in North Battleford. The accused face various aggravated assault and firearms charges.

Also appearing by CCTV Wednesday was Chad Weasel, arrested in late September and charged with sexual assault in connection to two evening incidents on the North Battleford walking trail.

A show cause hearing was scheduled for Wednesday but instead his matters have been adjourned to Ocy. 30, by CCTV. He remains in custody until then.

In addition to those matters, a 37-year-old North Battleford man appeared in provincial court Tuesday, charged with sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence. Following that appearance he was released with several conditions, according to RCMP.

Police also said the victim and accused know one another and the name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
