NORTH BATTLEFORD — Battlefords RCMP say they have charged a 28-year-old male with multiple driving offences after he fled from them on two separate occasions.
On Sept. 9 and Sept. 23, police from the Battlefords Detachment attempted to stop and arrest Marty Moccasin who was wanted for parole violation.
RCMP say Moccasin fled from police and multiple attempts to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful. A Gang Task Force investigation, with the assistance of the Provincial and Municipal General Investigation Sections, led to the safe arrest of Moccasin in the early morning hours of Sept. 24 in North Battleford, according to RCMP.
Moccasin has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving, two counts of flight from police and possession of property obtained by crime and will be returned to custody for being unlawfully at large. He is to appear in court Sept. 26.
