Territorial Drive improvements to be completed in next two weeks

NORTH BATTLEFORD - The City of North Battleford reports that progress is continuing on their Territorial Drive arterial roadway project.

In a city news release issued Tuesday, City Planner Ryan Mackrell is reporting the project “should be completed within the next two weeks, barring any major weather events which could hinder progress of crews on the ground.”

The city has been receiving status updates from their project manager throughout the expansion. Mackrell states that SaskPower’s availability will plays a factor in how the work moves forward over the coming days. 

According to the city’s news release, SaskPower crews are to complete work ahead of the installation of traffic signals at the entrances to Discovery Co-op Mall and Sobey’s/Tim Hortons. The city is reporting vehicle access should not be impacted. 

Lane closures on Territorial Drive are ongoing and will alternate until the project is completed. The City is reminding motorists to approach this section of road with caution to ensure safety of fellow drivers, pedestrians, and road crews.
