Three new physicians are coming on stream to serve the clinics operated by North Saskatchewan River Health Holdings.

Dr. Dandugula arrived this summer and Health Holdings reports he is settling into his practice. He retunred to Scotland Aug. 4 to help his family move and is expected to return the third week of August.

Dr. Tshatshela has completed the Saskatchewan International Assessment Physician Program and is anticipated to start practice in mid-August.

Dr. Ghauri and his family arrived from the UK Aug. 9. Dr. Ghauri will be serving Health Holdings clinics for three months on a locum contract.

In a press release, Health Holdings board members encourage the community to provide these new physicians and their families with a warm welcome and help them to feel at home in their new country.

Dr. Loftus will serve health Holdings clinics until Aug. 17 on a two-week locum and nurse practitioner Natalie Warrington returned from holidays Aug. 7.

"Our nurse practitioners have been an integral part of our practice and, with the new physicians, our team will be better able to provide the needed services to our residents," the Health Holdings press release states.

The Health Holdings Board and Prairie North Health Region continue to recruit and work with interested physicians with the goal of getting back to a four-physician practice in the near future.

The next regular meeting of the board is Monday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at he RM of Mervin office in Turtleford.
