Since Sept. 19, North Battleford's two Tim Hortons have run their annual Smile Cookie Fundraiser, this year to raise money for the CUPlex aquatics programs.
For $1 plus taxes, patrons can purchase a special smiling chocolate chip cookie, with all the proceeds to be donated to the CUPLEX aquatics programs.
"We are delighted that our local Tim Hortons has chosen the CUPlex to be the recipient of the proceeds from their Smile Cookie campaign," says Rob Rongve, co-chair for the CUPlex Raise the Roof Committee. "Funds from their campaign will be used to purchase aquatics equipment for the new facility. This contribution along with numerous contributions of generous supporters have ensured that the facility will be a feature attraction of our community and for those in the surrounding area for many years to come."
The fundraiser will run until Oct. 19.
