Trial set for man arrested by N.B. RCMP gang unit and tactical team

RCMP say three firearms were found during their search. Two of the firearms were stolen.

NORTH BATTLEFORD – A trial has been set for one of two men arrested after the Battlefords RCMP Gang Task Force and RCMP Critical Incident Response Team raided a home in the 900 block of 110 Street in April.

Battlefords RCMP say that three firearms were recovered in their search. Two of them were previously reported as stolen.

The trial for 35-year-old Landin Gallie will start on Jan. 10, 2023, in North Battleford Provincial Court. He is charged with three counts of possession of a firearm when unauthorized, three counts of possession of a firearms contrary to an order, three counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, and driving while prohibited.

His co-accused, 24-year-old Jackson Keagan is back in court Oct. 13 for case management. He is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm when unauthorized, possession of a firearm contrary to an order, careless use of a firearm, and unsafe storage of a firearm.

The charges against Gallie and Keagan haven’t been tested in court.
