Vehicle vandalism spree

The Battlefords RCMP have received numerous reports of vehicles being vandalized in the city. In addition, people have gone through unlocked vehicles, stealing various items.

The Battlefords RCMP have received numerous reports of vehicles being vandalized in the city. In addition, people have gone through unlocked vehicles, stealing various items. These criminal activities usually happen overnight to vehicles parked in residential areas. Ensure vehicles are locked when unoccupied. Please contact the RCMP if you witness suspicious people around vehicles.

During the late evening hours of Jan. 29 and the early morning Jan. 30, 10 vehicles and two school buses were damaged. Tires were slashed and windows were broken. The vehicles were located in North Battleford and Battleford. The investigation continues.

Feb. 6, between 4 and 4:30 p.m. a grey 2006 Volkswagon Jetta was parked at the Territorial Mall when it was hit by a vehicle. This vehicle left the scene without reporting the collision.

The windows of a 1996 Dodge truck parked on 18th Street in Battleford were smashed sometime overnight Feb. 4. Parts were stolen from the truck box.

A white 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen Feb. 1 from Railway Avenue East in North Battleford.

Overnight Jan. 31, a garage was broken into in the 1200 block of 108th Street in North Battleford.
