A popular and well-established North Battleford restaurant has landed in trouble for failure to provide payroll records.

101008494 Saskatchewan Ltd., operating as Venice House Restaurant in North Battleford, was found guilty of two charges under the Labour Standards Act. The case came up in provincial court in North Battleford May 6.

According to a provincial government news release, the corporation was charged with two counts of failure to provide payroll records under Section 66 of the Act. They were fined $200 and assessed a $50 surcharge on each count for a total of $500 in fines.

As well, the corporation has been ordered to provide payroll records to Labour Standards.
