A ferocious windstorm made it's way through the Battlefords late Monday.

North Battleford Fire Emergency Services received three calls simultaneously and had to call in additional members to respond to all of the incidents effectively.

A tree came in contact with a power line on the corner of 15th Avenue and 102nd Street and started a fire. Units stayed on scene until SaskPower employees were able to remove the tree.

Just north of the city, on Highway 4 near the Hamlin road, a power line came in contact with some brush and caused arcing, resulting in a fire near some acreages. When NBFES arrived, the fire had stopped.

The furious storm also caused a false alarm at the Cargill crushing plant at 10029 Marquise Ave.
