SASKATOON - A woman was arrested after breaking a window on a city bus and committing an assault yesterday afternoon in Saskatoon.

At around 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 17, police responded to a city bus parked in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue North for a report of a disturbance on the bus.

Alternative Response Officers patrolling the area arrived on scene and located the bus involved, with a woman acting erratically inside; all other occupants had exited prior to police arrival.

Continued investigation found that two females, age 19 and 17, were on the bus when an unknown woman approached them and began verbally and physically assaulting them before throwing a cup of bodily fluids onto them.

The woman proceeded to act erratically inside the bus, breaking the rear window. She was subsequently arrested without further incident. The victims were not physically injured from the assault.

As a result, the 29-year-old Saskatoon woman has been charged with assault (x2), mischief over $5,000, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
