EAST CENTRAL — In a provincial contest that awarded communities for having the most minutes of physical activity, Wynyard placed third.

Pilot Butte placed first in the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Go Out and Play Challenge, receiving $10,000, while Shields received $5,000 for their second place finish.

There was no prize for third place. Any money Wynyard would have won would have gone towards a new skate park

All together, the province logged 4,401,556 minutes of physical activity between March 1 and 10. Wynyard was the only one among the eight east central communities that participated to log more than 100,000 minutes.
