Quincey Winkler had an off night in game two in North Battleford, but was a big factor in the White Sox winning game three and advancing to the NSRBL quarter-finals.

There will be no more senior baseball in North Battleford this season.

The North Battleford Beavers suffered a 10-0 loss in Meadow Lake Thursday night and were eliminated from the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League. The White Sox were expected to use Quincey Winkler on the mound while the Beavers planned to start Matt Benson.

With Meadow Lake advancing it completed the first round of NSRBL playoffs with no upsets. The fourth place White Sox will now face the first place Lloydminster Meridian Twins. The second versus third series will feature the Wilkie Brewers against the Lloydminster Junior Redhawks.

The second round of playoffs needs to be completed by Aug. 11.
